Tractor of the Year 2025: TotY HighPower – JCB Fastrac 8330 iCON

Integrating the various updates we saw when the new generation 4000 iCON was released, JCB’s flagship tractor is powered by an Agco Power engine which maxes out at 348hp and produces 1,450Nm of torque of 1,500rpm.

The chassis design incorporates the all-round hydropneumatic suspension, which automatically adjusts the weight of the front and rear of the tractor to improve power transmission for the continuously variable transmission.

Due to the 70kph top speed, safety has been a priority, with all round disc brakes, dual-line steering and advanced anti-lock systems to ensure controlled deceleration even when travelling at top speed.

The transmission has been further improved with the Smart Transmission Control, which enables the operator to set a desired speed and allow the machine to automatically balance the engine speed and gear ratio.

Operators can also freely switch between pedal or joystick control, without having to preselect.

Controls can be adjusted between JCB Classic, which may appeal to users of the previous generation, while the Pro format is more in line with other transmission controls on the market, pulling the lever forward or backwards to control ground speed; left to activate the power shuttle and right to enter fine speed adjustment.

At its heart is the new electronics infrastructure, that incorporates a new armrest console and 12in touchscreen display. The new joystick is backed up with configurable levers for the electronic spool valves.
