A newly developed Agco Power engine sits at the heart of the Fendt 620 Vario. With just four-cylinders, it offers a maximum output of 224hp thanks the Dynamic Performance system, and 950Nm of torque, with the Fendt iD low speed concept keeping the engine speed between 650rpm and 1,900rpm.
Thanks to this, it offers one of the lowest power to weight ratios on the market (34.4kg/hp), weighing just 7,700kg and offering a possible payload of 5,800kg to still handle the largest possible implements.
The latest generation VarioDrive continuously variable transmission is fitted, with sperate hydrostat motors at the front and rear axles.
This not only means that power transfer can be automatically adjusted between the front and rear of the tractor, but it also provides neat features such as the pull-in turn effect, where during cornering the front axle is sped up to reduce the overall turning circle.
Other features include the option of ErgoSteer joystick-controlled steering, mounted to the left of the operator, said to be ideal for loader operations.
Like with other models in the portfolio, the FendtOne system is fitted as standard, with two terminals mounted in the cabin and the 3L joystick.
This enables a range of precision farming systems to be unlocked within minutes through the tractor terminal. The VarioGrip central tyre inflation system is also available.
