Said to be the only reversible hydrostatic orchard tractor on the market, the TRG 8900 Tony is available in both a low-profile specification, with rollover bar and 20in wheels, or as a standard unit with full cabin and 24in wheels.
It’s powered by a four-cylinder Kubota engine, producing 74.2hp and 305Nm of torque, put to the ground through an in-house hybrid transmission, combining mechanical and hydrostatic drive for a clutchless system with automatic gear shifting.
The company has integrated the Intellifix system into the drivetrain, automatically adjusting the forward speed and engine speed to maintain a constant level of torque during operation.
Another unique selling point for this sector is the Uniflex suspension system, which maintains the ground pressure of the implement, regardless of the operating conditions by automatically transferring weight to the rear axle of the tractor.
Uniflex is combined with the Actio system, which enables the central pivot point to oscillate, providing an additional level of suspension over undulating ground.
Antonio Carraro’s reversible seat and controls are available on both the low and standard profile models, turning the seat, steering wheel and Multi Controller joystick 180deg for greater visibility when operating rear-mounted machinery.
The Multi Controller further offers proportional control of hydraulic functions, as well as fingertip control of the transmission and engine.
