Hosplant, a dealer for the Kubota range of agricultural tractors, implements and construction equipment, has opened a second depot to improve access for customers in its Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk sales areas.
The new building is located at Wattisfield, near Diss, around 45 miles north of its headquarters at Peldon, Essex. “We cover a good stretch of countryside from Essex up through Suffolk and into Norfolk, and until recently, it was all serviced through our Peldon, Colchester depot,” said service director and co-owner Adrian Mays. “As we strive to deliver a better and more efficient service for new and existing customers, we really needed to develop a much more local ethos for our business.”
The site has workshop facilities and a parts counter, and will offer sales for both agricultural and construction equipment. Mobile engineers will also be in place and the business is gearing up to offer a parts delivery service.
“We’re far better placed to react much more quickly to call-outs, and we can provide a more local supply of parts for customers in Suffolk and Norfolk, who visit the Wattisfield dealership,” added Adrian. “While adding a second depot is a positive step forward for Hosplant and Kubota, it will be much more beneficial for our customers.”
Henry Bredin, general manager of Kubota (UK)’s Agricultural and Groundcare Machinery Division noted that this is a positive step forward. “HOSPLANT’s additional depot continues to strengthen Kubota’s commitment to its customers and the markets in which our business operates,” he said. “This strategic expansion sees the dealership continue to develop its partnership with Kubota, as it actively supports a wider customer base in both agricultural and construction sectors.”
