Electric compact vehicle manufacturer Paxster has awarded Boss ORV sole UK and Ireland distribution for its full range of machines.
The portfolio includes the eCompact and eStretch, the latter offering a higher payload. These will be launched at Lamma later this month, with dealer appointments set to follow.
Paxster machines offer a single-seat, narrow-body design, said to be ideal for navigating tight spaces and for operations on asphalt, gravel and grass. While not equipped with four-wheel drive, the rear-wheel drive system and optimal weight distribution is said to offer superior traction.
Nearly 5,000 eCompact machines are already in operation, with more than 85 million kilometres travelled. These offer a payload of 240kg, as well as a semi-open cabin to shield the driver from the elements. The larger eStretch has a maximum capacity of 400kg.
Powering the eCompact is a 10kW LiFePo4 battery, with a seven-year warranty, which can provide up to 3kW of auxiliary power to charge battery tools in the field, and run equipment such as portable welders and jet washers.
“We are more than pleased to have the opportunity to distribute these very strong and incredibly versatile vehicles,” said Boss ORV managing director, Phil Everett.
“They are built in Norway to superior standards for all conditions and are the perfect fit for all types of local, urban and country businesses and logistics. You get on-road finesse with off-road toughness and we welcome enquiries from any dealers interested in a niche electric vehicle with unlimited possibilities.”
Aleksander Safvenbon, CEO of Paxster A.S. said: “We are delighted to appoint Boss ORV as our sole distributor for these regions. We have been looking for a partner with expertise in building a utility vehicle dealer network and Boss ORV fits the brief perfectly. We are looking forward to working with Phil Everett and the team at Boss ORV during the coming years.”
