Said to offer up to 60% more power than the previous FSA 135, Stihl’s latest FSA 200 and 200 R brushcutters provide comparable performance to the petrol FS 361 C-EM clearing saw.
Available with a bike or loop handle, the 200 features infinitely variable speed control, with three settings to tailor the performance to different materials, while also maximising the battery life and efficiency. It also features a professional AV system to minimise vibration.
When the loop handle is specified, a quick-release clamp enables the height of the unit to be adjusted.
Power comes from a brushless EC motor, with efficiency increased by the blade detection system which automatically increases the maximum rpm when a grass blade is in use. The motor is cooled via a mesh air filter, which also improves the ease of cleaning.
A range of cutting attachments are available, including metal blades for extending working times, or PolyCut blades for more traditional mowing lines.
When fitted with the Smart Connector 2 A, the unit can also measure working time and speed settings, providing managers with vital data for optimal tool management, according to the company.
